Marble occurs naturally as the result of extreme heat and pressure being applied to Limestone. The distinctive crystalline structure of marble allows it to be polished to a high gloss giving an illusion of depth. This is the more traditional and commonly recognised form of marble and creates an opulent finish to, for example the premium bathroom or hallway. Marble is also available in a honed marble finish (matt polish), and tumbled marbles (aged). Devon Stone also offers a bespoke marble service. NEW - Devon Stone offers Levantina Marbles in TECHNO CLASSIC format Devon Stone is proud to offer selected marbles in the technically superb TECHNO CLASSIC format. First quality natural marble tiles tile that are only 1 cm thick up to 610 x 610mm format. To achieve this, TECHNO CLASSIC marble bonds 7mm of natural stone with 3mm of porcelain reinforcement. The marble and porcelain components are fused together using ultra tough, unalterable resin and a fiberglass mesh that maximizes both physical and mechanical properties. The end result is the beauty of natural marble weighing only 26kg per square meter backed by the prestige and technical superiority of Levantina. NEW - Devon Stone offers Marmocer Marbles in ceramic backed format To strenghthen our offering of ceramic backed marbles, Devon Stone now import a number of marbles by Marmocer. Similar to the Levantina product, Marmocer produce marble in only 12mm thickness. New marble in range includes bianco carrara, crema marfil, maron emperador, ivory cream, negro marquina, rojo alicante and vert olympia.
