NEW KINGSBRIDGE SHOWROOM OPENS

Devon Stone opens a luxury new showroom in Kingsbridge Devon serving the South Hams region of Devon.  The showroom which now shows our full range of products also offers our full design to installation service.  In collaboration with our sister company insidespaces, the Kingsbridge showroom also supplies a complete interiors package to include window treatments, soft furnishings and luxury furniture.  Please see our contact page for more information.

DEVON STONE SPECIALISE IN BESPOKE MARBLE WORK

Devon Stone signs partnership agreement with a Spanish and Portuguese luxury marble consortium.  Devon Stone's strategy for 2008 includes a move to excel in the supply and bespoke installation of luxury marbles.  The service which includes bespoke marble slab work from design to fully book matched installation in the world's finest marbles will be managed from the UK with cutting in Portugal.  Final installation will be carried out by our Portuguese and Spanish partners that are world class in this field.  Our agreement ensures  Devon Stone's position as a leading bespoke marble specialist drawing on the expertise of Europe's leading cutting and installation specialists whilst offering our clients European rather than British costs.

INTRODUCING NEW STAFF MEMBERS FOR 2008

Devon Stone have recruited two new members of staff to help take the company forward in 2008.

Lucinda who will work with us in the Kingsbridge showroom.  From client to member of the team, Lucinda brings a young and dynamic eye and will challenge our more conventional clients. 

Claire joins us from a consultative led and project management background and will be responsible for managing the day to day operation of the Kingsbridge office.  Clair has a superb design eye and we look forward to working with both Lucinda and Claire as well as introducing them to our established client base.

DEVON STONE IS ACCEPTED INTO THE GUILD OF MASTER CRAFTSMEN

Devon Stone is accepted into the Guild of Master Craftsmen.  We are honoured to have passed the rigorous assessment process and vow to maintain the standards of the Guild.  Devon Stone is proud of all our work and the team that carries it out.  Although this is a great reward for all our efforts, it does require us to maintain and improve our standards.

DEVON STONE MOVES TO FORMALISE ITS ONGOING TRAINING PLAN

To compliment our need to maintain and improve standards, Devon Stone are working on a formal in house training programme to be sponsored by the CITB (the national training organisation for the UK construction industry) to ensure that all our team members whether office or site based are kept up to date with the latest skills, materials and product knowledge.  Our training programme which up to now has been carried out regularly but outside of the CITB will continue to invite outside speakers from the industry and our key suppliers.  We view the need to stay at the top of our game as critical given the constant changes to materials, working practices, etc.

Devon Stone complete the purchase of the Internet only based tile company stonetilesdirect.com.  Set up in 2005, stonetilesdirect.com provides a low cost high quality Internet only stone tile purchasing experience.  Devon Stone will consolidate the current stone range and enhance it to include our most popular stones bringing the highest quality and best range of stone to the Internet shopper.
